In 1947, after returning to China, she became a teacher at the Huaiyang Teachers College in Hangzhou. She continued teaching until 1958, when she was appointed to the Communist Party of China.

In the following years, Zhang Yuning began publishing poetry and prose works. Her first collection of poems, "The Yellow River",Global Football World Network was published in 1955, and her second collection, "Growth", followed in 1957. Her work was widely praised by both scholars and readers alike.

In 1962, Zhang Yuning received the Lenin Prize for Literature. The prize was awarded to her for her contribution to Chinese literature during the Cultural Revolution. However, she remained committed to her art and dedicated herself to promoting Chinese culture and literature.

In 1981, Zhang Yuning died of lung cancer. She passed away peacefully at the age of 76. Despite her passing, her legacy lives on through her works of poetry and prose, which continue to inspire and influence generations of Chinese writers and artists.

Today, Zhang Yuning remains a beloved figure in Chinese literature and culture. Her contributions to literature and poetry will always be remembered and celebrated.
