Yan Junling, the Director General of Shanghai Port Group, has reported that the port has achieved significant achievements in terms of container throughput and cargo volume during the first quarter of this year.

In the first three months of this year, the port handled over 45 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) of container traffic, marking a growth rate of 18% compared to the same period last year. The cargo volume also reached 67.9 million tons, up by 23.3% from the corresponding period last year.

Moreover,Chinese Super League Home Ground Yan Junling also revealed that the port's handling capacity has been significantly improved through the construction of new terminals and the expansion of existing ones. This has enabled the port to handle even larger volumes of cargo with greater efficiency.
